Success

It’s always nice to hear from my clients, but it’s even nicer when they’re thanking me for my assistance! Recently, two manuscripts that I have edited have reached the next level.

Firstly, a lovely client named Ciye Cho has published his wonderful book: Shiewo: A Fantasy Flight to Adventure and he has even made a soundtrack to go with the book! That’s what I call innovative.

Secondly, a novel by Miss Teagan Chilcott has won her the chance to be mentored and to publish her book, as yet untitled. I’m really pleased that I could help her with her manuscript, and I can’t wait to see her published!

Rainforest Rescue Partnership

I know what you’re thinking; why does an Editing and Writing business have a partnership with an environmental charity? My response: we should ALL be doing it.

Here at Sally Barrett: Editing & Writing Service, we care deeply about our effect on the environment. Extending from how much power we use, how many pieces of paper we go through each day, to whether our business cards are printed on recycled paper. Businesses in 2011 need to have more awareness of their footprint on the environment.

Rainforest Rescue is a not-for-profit organisation that has been protecting and restoring rainforests in Australia, and internationally, since 1998. Their projects re-establish rainforests through planting, maintenance and restoration programs, as well as purchasing and protecting high-conservation-value rainforest and preserving its biodiversity.

Hello! If you’re visiting my site, thank you for stopping by. While I usually reserve my posts for things of an editorial nature, in this instance I have decided to promote Earth Hour 2011.

I frequently write for Peppermint magazine, whose founder, Kelley Sheenan, is nominated for the WWF’s Earth Hour Lifetime Achievement Award. At Peppermint, we care deeply about the environment, and here at Sally Barrett: Editing & Writing Service, we do too.

I will be going beyond the hour for Earth Hour, by purchasing power saving adaptors for all of our office equipment. I will also continue to have a paperless office, and print all business stationery on 100% recycled paper.
